Lancer 08 to BMW M3 08
Alright guys, i have a lancer 08, its pretty dam nice but its way underpowered, anyways, i was thinking of getting a 335, but then i saw the new M3 and i said fuck it, I'm getting the M3.
The price difference of a 335 to an M3 is not that much. The guy i talked to said the M3 will be released on March 8, but doesn't know the exact date he will be receiving them on his dealer. So for those of you thinking like me, just go for the M3. Anyways, here is a pic of my lancer 08.

It's just weird seeing someone go from a lancer to an M3? It's not really an occurrence that happens often so w don't really understand the circumstances that would allow one to leap from an econobox to an M3. Thus the voices of reason that have left comments are likely just applying logic with what usually happens to garages. Lancer to Evo = Normal. Lancer to M3 = not normal. If you can get the M3, get the M3.
Granted, you'd be surprised at how many people on this board would rather have the Evo. It appeals to the younger crowd, doesn't carry the snob stigma, is more easily modified, lighter weight, all weather. The M3 is more refined, stronger, better equipped, likely easier to live with on a daily basis, and more "mature" if you will. (granted, the EVO X is supposed to have evolved some since its last iteration). Just get what you want, be aware of why you want it, and make sure those are solid reasons for picking your vehicular choice

actually, there's about a $15K difference in MSRP between the 335 and M3- that's pretty significant, and real world differential will probably be a lot more given that the M3 is new and will be in high demand.
I am also curious as to why you would have bought an 08 Lancer, if you havethe means to buy a 335 or M3. |

Well, becuase the M3 2008 is not out yet in my area and i needed a car, so i bought the lancer. I'm not going to buy an expensive car like the 335 and then buy a M3, I don't have that kind of money. Anyways, I plan on keeping the lancer after i buy my M3.

Evo to M3.... good thing dreaming is free
I was going to get an M3 but then I said what the hell and decided to get an FXX. The difference from the FXX to the Enzo is no that much so I said what the hell. My FXX is on order; it will be black like schumi's. I'll believe it when you post the pics. (That is if you have any money leftover to buy a camera) p.s. my FXX comes with Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima in the trunk |

OMG, can't believe you guys find the whole lancer to BMW so strange. Here's the deal, my online business has skyrocketed for the last 4 months, and now i have the cash to buy me the dam BMW, i hope there is no more post about the Lancer to BMW thing.
Anyways, I saw some post here saying that the M3 comes Automatic, but yesterday i was doing some research and it looks like it really doesn't come Automatic, but with the SMG transmission. Do any have you drive a car with the SMG transmission? If so, would you recommend it?
