Thats pretty cool, but with emulators you dont even need the hardware. Depending on what it looks like would be my only factor for buying it.

I tried to get one for my other brother on the first wave of its release. The lines are stores are INSANE for these things...maybe I can pick one up on ebay for a bit more than its retail price. It would make for such an epic Xmas present!

I was hammered on saturday night so my buddy and I camped out at Target and got ones on sunday morning.

Get mine home, DOA. It would occasionally power on. I just boxed it up to send back to Nintendo but it will be 10 days until I get a new one. FML

It was pretty cool when it worked. I hooked it up to my second monitor in my office so I can play zelda when on conference calls.

Has anyone bought this yet? I am very interested. I still have my NES and all of the games, but I would much rather just use this. I see punch out listed there, Mike Tyson's punch out is easily my favorite NES game of all time. I don't remember there being two different 'punch outs' for NES, so is the one that comes pre-loaded on this new console Mike Tyson's Punch Out or is it something different?

There was a later version released that was not licensed by Mike. He does not appear in the game...the rest is the same IIRC.

UPDATE: "Nintendo is bringing back the NES Classic

Nintendo has backtracked on its baffling decision to cancel the NES Classic Edition, announcing that it will see new shipments next summer. In addition, the upcoming Super NES Classic Edition has seen such high demand that Nintendo has decided to extend shipments into 2018. The company previously planned to stop selling it by the end of this year.

Nintendo has made vague promises of more stock for the SNES Classic after its predecessor proved to be near-impossible to find for many. But pre-orders for the new retro console have been equally difficult to secure ahead of release, and it seems Nintendo has finally seen all the evidence it needs to realize that yes, these products are things that a lot of people want to buy.

The SNES Classic has 21 Super Nintendo games, including the previously unreleased Star Fox 2. It’s set to go on sale September 29th for $79.99, assuming you can find one — Nintendo says there’ll be more SNES Classic available units on launch day than NES Classic units for the whole of last year."
