Speaker problem...
Okay I just bought a new 2.1 system for my computer. Here's the problem: the subwoofer keeps making random static/buzzing noises. Yesterday it was louddd and today it's very quiet.
At first I thought it would be interference, perhaps with wireless keyboard/mouse, router or even mobile phone. However, I disconnected every electrical device in my room and turned my phone off. The problem was still there. I even hooked the system up to another computer and had the same problem! I decided to take the speakers back to the shop where they tested them infront of me and the speakers wouldnt make the buzzing/static noise! I found it very strange because when I took it home again it started making the noise again on both of my computers. It's really fustrating because I cant even return the speakers because I wasnt able to prove they are faulty. What do you guys think the problem could be?

Where is your soundcard mounted in your PC? The soundcard should be in the PCI slot furthest away from other components. If you have integrated sound (most likely) then it's just static from the mobo. It shouldn't be noticeable unless you have the volume cranked wayyyyy up though.

This might be completely unrelated to what's causing your static noise, but mine are doing the same thing, but they're just standard Dell kit. Nothing special. I just grab a speaker and give it a good ol' slamming and the static goes away for a really long time. There's something wrong with the internal wiring on the primary speaker or something. I need a new rig anyways so I'm not caring too much about it.
Hope your problem gets fixed.
