Sold my M3, picked up my new Porsche Macan GTS

After 2.5 years of ownership of my M3 I decided on a change to something different. Always wanted a semi big four wheel drive so placed an order for a new Porsche Macan GTS in January. Picked it up last Thursday.

All I can say is the M3 has been absolute blast and I have enjoyed every minute.

A few pictures of the Porsche below:

Love the blacked out wheels and full leather interior.

When I have a family someday the Macan is my go to choice; light blue w/ black wheels.

Love the Macan. It certainly drives much like a car. The GTS is a very fun car to drive (they all are) I'm looking into replacing my M4 with one. While not the same performance, more accessible and really has great steering and has a great engine and exhaust note and the quality all around takes it up to another level.

It drives really well and the PDK gearbox is the best automatic I have ever experienced. It's precise and changes are so smooth. It's comfortable, fast and sophisticated. The quality of the interior is another level. I don't miss the M3 at the moment.

Congrats. That must be an interesting change from a sports sedan to an SUV (crossover?). Please do let us know long term how do you feel about the car compared to an M3.

test drove a 2017 macan s and the new s4 sat...a great suv that drives like car still isnt a car....i am leaning towards the new s5 sportback over a macan

but not everyone is all about the driving experience like me

if i had to get an suv....it would be a macan

enjoy!

I recently had a base model while my C2S was being serviced. Very soft feel compared to my car of course, but sneaky fast. I'd rather have that than a Cayenne, but would still rather have a Panamera (different price category though).

Nice.

Boss at work has a Macan GTS, and I came very close to ordering a Macan Turbo to replace my 135i last year, but passed on the build slot when I got the chance to finally get my hot rod project finished and so, needed a diesel engine SUV, for a bit of extra economy and I just wasn't impressed enough with the diesel engine in the Macan and went with the X5 instead.
If Porsche offered the Audi SQ5 spec diesel engine in the Macan, I would have bought that over the X5 without a doubt.

How does Porsche manage dual clutch and AWD but BMW can't?

Congrats! I test drove a GTS and loved it. When I get back from my work, on location, I'm likely getting a S for my wife.
