I have owned three Maximas over the years, great cars. But FWD and a CVT are trash. It may perform decently in these tests but I am always wary of these types of tests.
All I heard about the Focus ST was how it felt like a RWD car, I read so many praising articles and then I got a chance to drive one at an event and it torque steered just like any other powerful FWD turbo car I have ever driven. |

Yeah it uses some trickery like braking the rear inside wheel in a corner to make feel RWD. But I did not get that feeling at all. My other buddy is an accomplished SCCA driver who owns a Fiesta ST as a daily and while it handles well, it too suffers from the same problem, especially when you add power to it. |

CVT means automatic fail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
