Best air freshener?

I know, I know smell is subjective. Looking for opinions on the best air fresheners. I'm interested in a more professional, adult type smell vs. gas station coconut tree.

Several years ago I purchased a used 335D from the local BMW dealer and it had a fantastic smell inside. Almost cologne like but not as overpowering or over-the-top as a true cologne. Best smelling car I've over owned and it lasted the year I had the car. First thing everyone said was "your car smells great!". I even asked the dealer (who acknowledged it was a great smell) but they didn't know; must have been previous owner.

I realize it could have been the leather treatment.

Anyways, just looking for suggestions. Oh and it wasn't the "squash" smell either. I had one of those years ago. An authentic one from Japan back in my Integra days. Not looking for that type of smell either. Those things would only last like a week in the hot sun.

air spencer squash is the best ever. The Japs do it right. I know theres a lot of squash scents but this one is really good. These last a good month or two

Use a good leather treatment and carpet cleaner and your car will smell good, but also like a car. It's not supposed to smell like a feckin pineapple in there.

Also: don't smoke in your car and take regular showers.

So weird that I have never even heard of Squash. I will have to look into that more. My two cents....I love the smell of Pinnacle Leather Treatment! That is my go to. I have never used but understand that a lot of people like Chemical Guys air fresheners. Specifically Stripper Scent.

Unless you've been a JDM fan boy at some point of your life you won't have any idea of it.

Not true, some Lexus dealers sell them. Lexus doesn't cater to the rice crowd.

I prefer burning rubber scent. Kinda pricey but lasts a long time. Really need to smoke up the interior to get the best effect.
