- Accident repair is a PITA. Anything beyond cosmetic or very minor body Panel damage can only be repaired by BMW.

- There was the "incident" which may or may not have involved more than one car.

- The US had several cars in colors that are 1/1 worldwide.

- The Alpina Roadster was predominantly allocated to the US (450/555) yet had never been an official Alpina market before. It's still the smallest today with Japan remaining the largest.

My dealer has one that barely has any miles on it. Listing for $299k. And it's not even an Alpina.

Congrats on stumbling across such a gem! And thanks for sharing!!
The guy at the front desk yelled at me when I wandered in the back for a closer look, something about the manager being pissed if he caught me back there. Assume it's a liability thing like if I crushed my foot while screwing around with a lift or something. I just muttered something about shiny and pretty and took my time leaving.

Ok the silver just didn't do it justice then. Looks fantastic in blue.

I love the blue/red combo. The Alpina wheels are pretty special. The valve stem is under center cap and airs the tire through the spoke. The Z8 is probably the most aluminum intensive car ever built. This led to a lifetime warranty on strut bowing which is pretty common.

A massively expensive blunder well over a decade ago. Cutting the main structural supports at the firewall is never a good idea.

The roadster has exposed wheel hardware. The Z8 is definitely Aluminum intensive and allowed the Phantom to be developed in such a short time.

Alpina's are cool. The Z8's are getting up there in price now a days: ~$250K.

Unfortunately we can only dream about this.
The closest car in terms of exclusivity will be i8 roadster, but a totally different concept!
