Aston Martin Prototype Vehicle

Hi all,

While driving north bound on the M6 today, I spotted "something" in the second lane a little way in front of us, and pointed it out to the wife. I was sure it was an Aston Martin, but wasn't sure until we got closer. Then spotted the words "prototype vehicle" on the rear bumper! From what I can gather, it's the DB11, but I thought they were already done and released...? Now the car appeared to be US spec (number plate sizes and the rear repeaters showed as red instead of the usual amber/yellow), so not sure if it's anything to do with that spec. You can see some material on the C Pillar, so I wondered if it was a Volante test vehicle, but the rear screen seems a solid rear screen.

Anyway, it was pretty cool to see in the flesh. Extremely jealous of the young bloke who was driving it too!

It does in the picture, but in person, it's so much bigger than the F Type.

Looking into it a bit more, those things on the C pillars are actually part of the design, and not camouflage or anything like that. So, looks like this is the finished product.

I don't want to sound like a dick but that looks like an all black DB11. What's making you think it's not, aside from the sticker?
