Did I read that correctly in that the wet braking distance is shorter than in the dry?

Shit. You are right. Unless the speed they use is different.

Different speed. Dry from 100km/h and wet from 80km/h.

This is great news, but, are they still going to manufacture the PSS?
My front PSS are pretty new, the rears going to be replaced soon. 2 to 1 ratio.

Do you think they'll eventually be available for 18's as well?

Uh probably? But these are obviously a summer tire. You won't want them on the car below 40F degrees.
Second this. Will the tires fall apart below 40? No, but you absolutely shouldn't be driving with them on in those conditions.

That would have been the obvious comparison but for some reason it didn't make marketing sense I suspect. Probably negligible differences in terms of performance and a higher cost for the P4s is my bet

This is terrific news, Michelin makes amazing tires and I am excited to get these on the M3 when it's time. With that said, does anybody else have a hard time getting their significant other as excited as you are about tires?

What's in store for the guys w 21's? I am already stretching 305/25/21 PSS on my 12" wide rear wheels. Come on Michelin and make the 325/25/21 like Perrelli ?

Marketing sucked for calling them "4S". Even tho they are high perf summer, they sound like cheap 4 season tires

Would love to know the list of sizes they are going to be making. Hopefully a bunch of 275-325 wide options in 19" and 20"

I have seen that PS4 will be 17" and 18" primarily with only a few 19" options, then PS4S in 19" and 20" (from the press release) and I'd expect a few 21" options will emerge given long enough.

There no way to know which tire you may end up with. Some m cars came with Conti's.

Clarification made in the first post:

These tires will be available for Europe in January 2017 and for U.S. in March 2017.

My PSS still have a little life left in em after 17,500 miles. . . Seeing as my winters go on in about 4 weeks I can't see why I can't wait for this launch before getting new shoes.

I'll be happy to guinea pig since I'll only have the car until next July-December depending on what I do at lease end (and what next gen M5 and RS4 start to amount to ).
