Very interesting! My father always built computers from the ground up (not literally soldering motherboards but could perform a simple fix on them). But now that he's older it's more about experiencing everything he can that's new, getting nostalgic from buying older things from his past, and finding the time to enjoy them in between.

In fact by judging lots of posters on this website, it seems we all have very similar interests for the most part.
