I have stowa marine white face and blued hands. One of my favorite for daily use for work. Comfortable and classic look. Would love to add Nomos and glashutte.

Couldn't agree more! I currently have 2 "Germans"; UTS and Steinhart, see images. The UTS story is an interesting one, to me it is a stunning watch and the image attached does not do it justice. It is a robust and heavy watch (8 ounces), and I have yet to see anyone else wearing one after 5+ years of use. I really like the IWC Big Pilot, but could not see myself paying that kind of money, so opted for a "lookalike" Steinhart Pilot Chronograph and will probably use the funds saved to supercharge my M3! With the Euro/Dollar exchange rate being favorable, this was a no-brainer for me. With Steinhart you order directly from their website and the watch arrives about a week later. I used PayPal for the transaction and it was seamless. UTS is also a direct order from their website, and these are truly great people to deal with. Here's a link to the UTS story, an interesting one for the watch aficionados here: http://www.watchtime.com/featured/on...ivers-watches/

Don't have a German watch, sadly. Have been looking at some Lange's, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. (I love that 3/4 baseplate design.). Bought an M4 instead. Heh. The Saxon watch tradition and Renaissance has been amazing and the synergy between them and the Swiss is quite remarkable. Thanks for posting this.

Hey jstnstr Since you are in FLL, you know ALS has a Boutique in the Design District, don't you. You should go check it out. They also have Vacheron, Parmigiani, Jaeger-Lecoultre and some other (what I would consider "lesser") brands. Some good stuff and the boutiques are always fun. The Vacheron and Lange boutiques have some truly amazing pieces, but, in the interest of full disclosure, I have a but of a bias for those two brands anyway.
