Honestly, he seemed to just be rambling to me. The media is out of control for the way they report "news" in far more significant ways than how they reported on Lamar Odom.

Except the people he is ranting about won't see it or care even if they did. If they don't recognize Odom as a basketball player, they sure as hell don't know or care about SVP or watch ESPN. Not sure I really care the media referred to Odom because of a reality show rather than being a basketball player. The real tragedy is the guy's life. SVP ranting about the media not recognizing the guy as a basketball player seems rather meaningless regardless of where he says it.

His comments go to the man he was and his making a name for himself long before the media associated him with the stupid Kardashian's. That was his beef, in the lack of respect of the individual. I commend that. Surely if you are a man who has worked for anything in his life, your name and how it is construed by people is of paramount importance to you and your family. How would you feel if the hard work making you "you" were ignored and replaced by media banter to make the headlines more enticing? Dehumanization is his beef if you read between the lines.

P.S. If you check on social media, those who made the comments are already fully aware of SVP's comments. One of the beautiful things of our access to information is that no one can hide from anything directed at themselves.
