I wish.
The current crop of cars looks attractive, but they're just so damn boring and conservative. I'd take a set of cars that pleases fewer overall people but makes a bigger styling statement. That's the kind of BMW I fell in love with; when they stood out on the road and you knew it was something unique and special.

You can see the same interior dash design on every model of theirs today. What happened to individual designs that differ one from the other models back in those day.

Me and a buddy went for an in town drive Sat. night and hit all three German Marques. BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. BMW has them all beat, overall, IMO right now. Mercedes is getting there. That new C 400 is pretty badass, but needs a full AMG sport package inside out before it's "complete" in my eyes. The CLA 250 with full sport package is a great looking car...but it's FWD and I've already owned a 200 HP turbo 4 AWD car so I don't wanna go there again. Even if I did, it would be the Audi A3 with full S Line for me right now. That said, I will consider the CLA 45 in a few years and plan to cross shop it with an S3. Said S3 would get tuned, no doubt, after purchase. Right now, BMW has all three hands down inside out and I have my eyes on the M235i. Chris Bangle is gone and should stay that way. BMW is just now, officially, unfucked across the board (save for the "GT" cars) from what he did.

They've adopted the same small-medium-large that Audi has had going on for a few years. I'm not a fan. That's not to say they're unattractive cars but from behind, the F10 & F30 are nearly indistiguishable.

The M cars look great to me, so I would say no. What's the point of bringing back a designer that's already moved on? Don't you want a different idea after all these years?

Well, BMW designs were never boring under Bangle. Chris is not afraid to introduce new, bold, fresh designs.

I agree on the M line-up, but the rest of the stable is pretty dull...

I wish they'd bring back some unique proportions and differentiate the styling cues. Every headlight is a different take on an angry squint. Most of the taillights are just a massaged L. The character lines are too similar in treatment. They're erring on the conservative side because they have an attractive template. Those headlights, the placement and surfacing of the body lines; it's all attractive and makes proportional sense. It's just the Wonder Bread of design. I don't want them to necessarily make the lineup ugly, but it would be nice if they stopped pulling an Audi and tried taking on some semblance of risk. The 'i' brand is great because of this.

M3 is probably the only really good looking car right now but wish the interior were a little better quality. M4 looks like the M6, too long and squashed. M5 is plain mundane looking and hate the interior.
