Smile My new old e39

Just bought a 2002 525i with only 12.5K miles on it. It's pretty basic (no premium, no cold weather). I think the newer 3 and 5 series sedans are just boring looking. It drives like a new car.

Going to do a complete fluid and filter change. Since this has the cheap plastic trim, I bought some nice wood on ebay that came off a 2003 M5. Also going to change the tires, add Xenon lights and replace the console armrest.

Trying to decide on whether to repair the MID and add Sirius or just replace it with a double-Din kit (I think single-din would look awful).

Congratulations! Beautiful car. I agree with you on the newer ones... I had an E90 330i, and I love the way my e39 drives compared to it. Good luck!

Congrats OP! Awesome E39. Honestly, I think they are the nicest looking, cleanest body style. Enjoy.

This guy does a great job at replacing the ribbon cable inside the radio that causes the dropped pixel problem. Tomas is the owner.
