quick and easy answer w/o knowing a lot of the details? sub 10% BF. you'll see the top usually peek through once you hit 12% but the lower BF% the better (assuming you have abdominal muscles hiding under the fluff.

I guess I should've said you would have a bigger lower section of your abdominal, as well as more of a "gorilla" belly going on which happens when your core gets strong. Now I can squat 500+ and my abs only show when I'm at 15 percent or below, if I'm at 15-20 I look like I have a gut because it protrudes out further.

I just got back into working out and dieting since January 1st. My weekly calorie deficit is -5000 calories , give or take 500.I lost about 10 lbs but my BF% is 26% from a digital scale. Not sure how accurate that is. I still have a long way to go . If I keep doing what I'm doing I'll probably show some abs by the end of summer.

Everyone has them, you don't need to "build up" ab muscle. You need to clean your diet up if you want to have well defined abs.

Whatever floats your boat. The op asked about seeing abs, not bulking. I was just saying how it is. I'm sure both guys have strength. It takes time and form to develop a body for show, and "form". Lol that meme has nothing to to do with this.
