Is there any changes needed to use this kit for a 99 540i AUTO....

What does a GIAC tune cost as that would be needed with your kit yes ?

no changes for the kit, you just need to get the software for your car. I recently spoke to GIAC and they no longer sell the tune. You would need to get the tune through VF directly.

Another prospecting buyer contacted VF directly and they offered him a brand new kit with warranty and tune for 5000!! talk about a great deal.

They sell the tune alone for $1000. However i would recommend a costume tune if you know anyone that can that for your car, If you cant like me then VF would prob be the only option. You might get it for less than 1000k if you got to a vf dealer....

So im reconsidering price and 3500 would be the lowest due to VF selling to the public for 5000.
