Fix it ticket!
Ok gang...got caught in a police trap...5 LAPD officers on motorcycles pulling people over right and left!
They got me for not having the front license plate! Now I have a beautiful fix-it ticket in my hand. So...I have looked it all over, and I see nothing on it stating that I can simply pay a fine! So..am I stuck having to get my virgin bumper drilled?? I know many here did not get the plates installed. Anyone with experience on a way around this..Is there a way to get this thing cleared without drilling...since I do not see a $$$ option on this freaking ticket. Any thoughts??? @ having to get it drilled.

Use the 3m tape, cut the screws and have them sign it off....then when all of this is done, move to a different state!

Just make sure you take care of it before the due date....or else.....
the ticket will be 10X's the original fine! I had a tinted window fix-it ticket.... and I think I was like a couple of months late.....and the ticket was over $500!

Ok...guess I am going to buy some 3M tape today, and give it a test run to see if the plate looks like it will stay on/ pass inspection.
Don't want to go there...and have the tape fail in front of the officers..LOL! Will the tape leave any adhesive on my bumper??? hmmmm, well...wish me luck. If it does not work...guess it will be time to make an appointment with the drill.......

For a nominal fee, we'll let you move to Delaware. No front plates here. I feel for you guys in the states that require defacing your car.

Just put it on.
You'll get busted again soon enough here in L.A.

Yeah, I'd stick on the 3M double sided tape. You can even glue on chopped off plastic screw heads to make it look like you've screwed the plate on.
Another option would be to make a bracket or have a machine shop quickly bend you a temporary bracket that would attach to metal under the bumper. How did you manage to get the car without the screw holes? |

Just asked the dealer not to put it on when it was delivered. I have the plate holder in the trunk.....guess was hoping it would take ALOT longer before I was ticketed. Anyone know if I put on a Euro style plate with my plate#....would this option still attract just as much attention to get another ticket???

Werd ..... double-tape the plate to front. The people at DMV don't care whether you drilled the plate onto your bumper or not, as long as it's on there it's fine.
