Nice shot, Paul. Got screwed out of my chance to get a shot tonight. The skies clouded over about 5:00PM. I went out to my spot anyway and saw a bright area behind the clouds get higher and darker and then disappear. Supposed to rain from now until Tuesday, so I may not get another chance tomorrow.

Bald Eagle and her chick.

bad shot of the chick obviously, and i couldn't really wait to see the moma take off, too many people cowded around bumping into me and such.

As for quality, this is a seriously shrunken file so my mom could email it, she was pretty proud to see one.

Were you at a nature park or something? Didn't know there were bald eagles just cruising around FL.

everglades...

aparently florida has the second most bald eagles after Alaska in the united states.

we get them in canada lots, but they don't make the news much since they aren't our national bird.

Nice shot, Dave!

I was bored earlier today waiting for someone so I started messing around a little.

nice one Jeff! Don't tell me you were gonna submit that to the contest... Badger could've changed the theme to watches at that point.

Thanks, Ashu. Yeah, either that or I was gonna do something w/ some of the hand tools since I was re-organizing one of my tool carts/chests the other day. I didn't get a chance to do that one, though. My framing was off a little for that shot so I might redo it. I was just playing w/ my nifty-fifty.

lol....yeah, I liked the slew of last minute watch entries. They make for some interesting shots, though. If anyone is guessing what that shell is, no, it's not from a DU round.

Nice pic, remmib. Settings?

Nice shot, Jeff. A-10 Warthog round? We used to watch them tear things apart on the range at Ft. Hood. Those rounds would just dissolve a lightly armored vehicle. Nastiness.

Indeed, sir. Low and slow, but I still love A-10's. Flying tanks is what they are and that GAU-8.......eek! If you look on Google Maps, you can see the target line of vehicles used to do practice strafing runs @ the Creech/Nellis Ranges.

The shell makes for a nice desktop ornament.
