They pulled over about 20 of us and the deputy had a full head of steam as he told us how many complaints they received and demanding to know where we began our malfeasance. My friends had to cover their mouths to prevent the laughter and he was so angry that he turned plaid.

My friend with the Lambo SL joined in and we managed to let them know that we were just a bunch of family guys and gals out on a drive and he let us go after a stern chat with the Audi guys.

We do this a fair amount and pitting in the windshield is actually a pretty serious problem. Though most of us have some type of clear bra, I just get the front panels reshot when it gets to a certain point. I'm not a garage queen, it must-be-perfect, kind of owner. I like clean but also used in the manner it was designed to be used, hence my cars have light signs of use. Had similar run ins, on that particular day we had a crazy turnout, like 60-70 cars, a few younger runners got tix, they just can't help themselves sometimes!

Same issue here, running down by the beach at speed has a considerable amount of sandblasting that can occur upfront, it's never a good idea to be in the pole positions in those situations!

And you're right, all you need is one hand on the throttle as fast as you can. That's what it's all about. Would be much easier for you now that they have GPS in your phone or on a watch. I actually had to tape a brick sized hand held GPS running off of 6 AA batteries.
Only the pussies actually give a shit. I just want to know what I ACTUALLY went. Never got to take the bike to the track which really sucks, because this new bike is slower than a 90 year old hooker.

I did notice that my GPS said the BMW is 2mph under what my speedo says...., what does a cops radar pick up? GPS speed then? I'll probably just suction my GPS to the gas tank on the bike and take a rip down i540 tomorrow.

299 KPH in a 2010 S4

299 KPH on a 2015 S1000RR

170 MPH in a 2013 CTS-V Wagon

263 KPH in a 2015 M3

All are indicated speeds and not backed up by GPS or anything. Only ever recorded the S4. All on these lovely German highways.

Back in college I drove a Honda Civic up to 95 mph, with that old rice bucket it felt like 200 mph.

90 Year old hookers are fast these days with their Hover Rounds.

Suction cup, nice.

Yeah, radar and GPS should read the same given the GPS unit is accurate and radar is properly calibrated.

All of my M3s were 5% off at just about any speed. Verified by man of those "Slow Down" signs with your speed shown under it and GPS units.

A friend of mine has one of those 1100+ HP at the wheel Supras (on race fuel) and one night we were on going back and forth on the bridge racing bikes from 50mph on. The 600s would steadily and somewhat quickly drop back. The 1000cc bikes would pull away briefly and then he'd reel them in as we're all rocketing well into triple digit speeds until about 150 or so and he's just start walking away from them. He let one of the 600s think he was getting the pull by just staying next to him all the way up to where you could hear his bike hitting rev limiter. My buddy just rolled into the throttle and pulled away in pretty much the same fashion as we did when starting from 50. That car is sick fast. By far and away the fastest car i've ever been in. That thing would just roast the rear tires if you stabbed the throttle in 3rd gear. It's surreal.

Interesting, I'll have to see what this bike is actually clocking.

ZX10 with power commander was pretty fucking quick, had a lot of good head to head races on it. This thing however, is fucking stupid slow. I honestly think it's a high 12/low 13 quarter mile bike. Grandma bike.

I've been riding sport bikes since the 90's and this is a pretty accurate scenario. A few years ago I had a Corvette zr1 following me on a two lane country road while I was out on my yzf-r1. At stop sign just before a long straight away, the corvette pulled up along side of me in the opposite lane. I knew he was looking for a fight, so when he honked I immediately got the jump on him and was 100 feet ahead of him at about 120mph. Coinsidentally this was just about the time my front wheel touched down. By 150mph he was along side of me, and by the time I hit 181mph (the bike's speedo corrected top speed) he was 500 feet in front of me and running (not walking) away. It was very impressive and I clearly lost the fight.

To add insult to injury, when I sat up and rolled off the throttle, a bird flew into my path and splattered on my chest. Cleaning blood and feathers out of a perforated leather jack is a bitch.

140mph in a 535xi with a buddy in another black 5 series and a camaro. Feels like time slows down and all the other cars are still. Also nerve-racking. The camaro was behind us and ended getting caught by a cop saying he was pacing him at 120mph.

137 in my Toyota in 2005, but that was only because I was going downhill and the limiter didn't catch on until 20 seconds after... I was out in Yucca Valley, just got the car, and I was bored as hell.

My current car? I was heading out to Vegas for my 30th b-day at 4AM... It SAYS 130 on the needle, but I'm sure that it was realistically 120
Oh, and don't mind the "brake" indicator"; I replaced the pads/rotors but the parts site I ordered the replacement sensor from had a backorder that caused me to get it a week after.

200 miles an hour is really overrated but only if you can hit that in the standing mile. Good luck!

Fastest I've gone was 194 in my wife renntech tuned c63. To be honest that car had lot more left but saw a bend in the road coming up and let out.in a Benz it was odd, you knew you had to be going fast from the wind noise of air hitting the side mirrors , but you didn't feel it lol. We literally had a full conversation as we approached 190 like it was nothing.

Sadly my supercharged e90 is gonvered to 170 which I've lost count how many times I've hit that in Mexico. Might have to make a call to the tuner and have that removed to see what this thing can really do.

195 mph was showing on the dash, Maybe did a tiny bit more but had no chance to look. 2008 Porsche 997 turbo.

After 130 miles every extra mile you feel it multiplied by 10.
I was racing my friends amazing bikes Ducati 1098 and Yamaha R1 2012.
They fly by me at first but after 180 mph started to close the gap. they dont have the topspeed i had.

The closest I ever got was on my 05 cbr1000rr hit 198mph. The feeling of going that fast is unbelievable. Everything is just flashing by you and you basically feel weightless.

That's very fast for a S4. That can't be stock right? (stock is about 333hp I think).
I estimate you need 400+hp for that in most cars (on a porsche maybe less due to good aerodynamics on those cars)

My Z4 tops out at 175MPH (GPS speed)
By that time you're wondering when the roof gets blown off. That top isn't made for those kinds of speeds.
Also the aerodynamics start to do strange things to your sidewindows etc on that car.
But all that makes you really aware of the speed.
155mph+ top down is also interesting and will clean out any dust in the interior
