You guys would DEAD SET have a coronary if you stepped foot in Australia. Coffee and a muffin is like $11. To be fair it's proper coffee not this drip swill i see everywhere. Entry level wages start at about $22 an hr. Exchange irrelevant.

Somehow they make it work though and the gap from have to have nots is smaller than in the US but there's still a pot of gold waiting for those who are clever or work hard.

This is why I bought a coffee machine, $700 for the unit, even allowing for cost of beans/milk it paid for itself in 6 months. It took some practice but once I got it right, the coffee is outstanding.

I did this at work for many years. Very fresh and tasty, plus many coffee flavors to chose from.

Yes, a Venti with two extra shots. No flavors, just espresso and milk. And that is after my two beer mugs full of coffee at home. But after my Starbucks, I'm done with caffeine for the day.

Used to drink like a pot a coffee a day when I was younger. Loved it. It really got me going. Now I have one cup in the morning. That's it. I know, I'm no fun. lol

I can't drink it like I used to. I could have a double espresso after dinner and go right sleep. No mas. If I drink coffee after 2 pm it disturbs my sleep. If I were to have it after dinner, I'd be doing ceiling patrol all night.

When I was a teenager, me and a friend used to go to a 24 hour Winchell's Donuts and buy a cup of coffee each and then get refills all night. Talk about getting wired.

PS - this was when we couldn't get REAL drugs.

I have an employee who's not allowed to have coffee first thing in the morning. She's legit bouncing off the walls. The other employees won't allow her to have coffee in the AM.

She has two settings - DOA or hopped up on caffeine lol.
