I need to speculate first, then I will do the forward 12mo fundemental. Then I will do the technical analysis to find out entry/exit price. (there are more stuff to do for 1yr < ).

HOwever, for a quick trade, I mainly just do technical.

Good move. With eyeballing the chart for TA or even running the linear or exp reg on software, you would most likely get a same result.

Daily chart still looks solid though.. just made a new high and pulled back. It hasn't even tested the new high yet.

SPX 1900 is uber support. Let's see if it holds it tomorrow. I'd like to see it break below and not bounce until 1815 though.

I couldn't give you a 100% chance you and I will be both alive by tomorrow night...

Its not about SPY reaching ATH's but how long that will take...expiration date is everything...I want to see a selloff to scare everyone, then weak new highs, then real selloff.

Well ok '100%' is unfair and unreasonable , but would you recommend buying an overall market ETF right now with the intent of selling at (or perhaps just under) S&P500/Dow/Nasdaq reaching new ATHs?

Nah. I said I'd buy some if the S&P500 hit 2000+ (which it hasn't...yet) and I stuck by my guns, so I never got in.

A lot of truth to what you said...when I started this thread years ago, I wanted to truly have a TA thread, but the value of that went out the window for 2 reasons.

1. we were in super bull mode for past 3 years and the play was not to trade but to buy long and hold for big gains...ie-TSLA, FB, AAPL, DDD, VJET(my favorite cause I owned this trade), AMAVF, SLCA, HCLP, etc...only one that didn't behave if I recall is BBRY.

There is no need to trade short term during super bull markets.

2. It is time consuming to capture, host, then paste images on this thread...afterall, nobody is paying you or me to do it, this is a BMW message board lol.

Only time will tell what you guys think of the advice you are getting on here for free...I can personally say that I have paid a lot of money in the past for market advice which was way shittier than the advice I have given on this thread for the past 3 years for free...


That being said, within the next 6-9 months, it will be time to start putting up charts on here and turning this thread back to a TA thread...but TA can only go so far, the true secret is the magic crystal ball I look into every night, that is key haha.

2.36% gain isn't much, but 122mil traded.... Something is up.

I think 27.50 would be an decent target price to exit WITHOUT any good/bad news.

I still couldn't pull the trigger on AMD, but I will most likely to buy some AMD within 3-5days.

El Pollo Loco is another one I am interested in. El Pollo Loco was one of my favorite chicken place in S.CA. I haven't had El Pollo Loco since 2004.

No, because we haven't had the modest selloff yet...I want to see a 10-15% selloff first.

Picked up some DATA on Tuesday. They beat the estimates yesterday, yet are down today. I like the software and have used it extensively, I think the future is good for them.
