I thought the Bless You was because when you sneezed, it was believed that you blew out your soul, and the blessing brought it back to your body.

There is an alphabetical listing of names for storms created each year. Not sure what the selection criteria is

just random shite.

I thought it was because it was believed that evil spirits could enter when you sneezed and therefore it was to prevent them from entering.

Probably a bunch of different thoughts as to how it originated.

I'm very religious, so I have no problem saying Bless You, but then again, I mostly just ignore it and say nothing at all, unless I feel socially obligated to say something. I don't see it as anything that is unusual so why make a comment.

Well, well, today at wifeys Polo a brake job has to be done and if one of the threaded holes hadnt us totally messed up, the whole change on all 4 disc brakes were finished within 2.5 hours. Now the hard way: Drilled up to a standard Helicoil value, cut a new thread, insert the stud and install the calipper afterwards. You know what? One of the bolts got weak thread flanks also and get destroyed at turning it the first few turns. So we got a car onto the rack with a calipper removed and no spare bolt left...
Lucky us, the owner of the DIY-shop sacifices us a bolt from another VW to get our work ready.
Guys, fresh installed disc brakes are smelling awful the first used miles...yuk!

Ouch. Are you sure the helicoil was the right thread pitch? Sounds like it got bound up and sheared the head. Caliper bolts are usually pretty high grade stuff.

Heh. They alternate years. Female names one year, male names the next. How they pick the names they use (aside from the fact that they start with a names and increment by one letter each time) I don't know. That's why hurricane Andrew (the first storm of the year) and Katrina (the 11th) were so crazy. Rarely is the first one so bad. And having 11 in one year is also unusual.

Yeah. Not a record, but high. And it's still early October. They have actually gone past z once. I can't remember what they did.

After z they start over with names that have double first letters.

Remember though - not all named hurricanes make land fall, or even threaten a land mass.

Axius - sent you a text. Timing still up in the air at this time. I'm only delivering the car - they'll dyno the car after the tune.
