Nice shot, Ed. Very sharp.
My macro pic is orange peels and seeds. That was shot with my EOS-M, EF adapter, and the EF 40mm f2.8 with stacked 12mm and 25mm extension tubes. Actually gives a mag factor of 1.2. Handheld with 270 EX II flash on camera.

I kind of cheated, using a tilt shift generator instead doing it the hard way this first time. Not as good as Itsed65's great train pics, I know. I think that it's an interesting effect at any rate.

We had our first rain in months here in the bay area on the last day of summer. After the rain though I went down to the park with my camera to see what came out. I was happy to find a pair of white-tailed kites out hunting in the area. I haven't seen any of these cool little raptors around in a few months, so it was nice to see them back. Sadly my 1D needs to be serviced, so I was with my noisy 7D and the 100-400. If I had known I would have brought my 400 5.6 prime. Still a nice afternoon.

Just another day at the office. Shot this one 2 hours ago. Consider it a preview, as GRC hasnt yet released it.

There is a bar right across the tracks from this spot, which was actually why I was there when the train happened by. The bridge made for a nice background I thought.

Boat traffic on the bay during the America's Cup. I wouldn't want to be a Coastie on a day like that.

Wow, lots of great shots while I was gone.
I had a slow, very expensive Internet connection while cruising the Med and Aegean the last couple of weeks, so I couldn't keep up. I'm working on the pix now, but here's a fave of mine from, where else, Venice: Low Bridge by dcstep, on Flickr Dave

Took this after work today at the local park. Glad to see the birds coming back.
