Getting my iPhone this weekend, couple ?'s.

Hey guys, been away for a bit, busy with school and tinting car windows and what not.

Well finally I am getting a good phone for once, so happy to get rid of this Samsung UpStage, what a piece of shit it is.

What cases do you guys recommend? I was recommended this one
here...

Also I searched the forum for iPhone apps and what not, but it's kind of overwhelming with the amount that are out there right now. Would anyone mind telling me which ones are must haves and give a couple word description of said apps?

Thanks guise.

I'm using a Zagg invisible shield right now but will get this case later.

As far as apps. Just jailbreak your phone and you can download all the apps for free.

Hmm, that case looks a little thin to me, I can be a clutz at the worst times.

Good guide to jailbreaking my phone? I know I could google it myself, I'm just wondering if there is a better guide than others..

Honestly, don't even bother. When I first got mine, I was all in love because it was new and shiny, and bought 3 different cases for it.

Now, I don't use a case at all.

But my favorite was by case•mate, it was all clear so you could see the phone through it. And it had a protective screen over it as well. Only thing is, it started to wear the chrome off the face plate of the phone after a while. And also, you have to make sure not to get any fingerprints on the phone before you put it in the case. (I did it by wearing those fuzzy gloves, lol.) And then there is the issue of stuff getting in between the protective screen and the actual screen.

I've got a case mate leather one that works well. I also use the plastic screen protector because the case doesn't cover the face. And I don't think JB is out yet for 3.1

Go to iclarified.com. Then go to the tutorial section.

I have never used a case for my gen 1 iphone and i like it that way. Shiny metal clean front. Believe me, protective film on the glass makes the phone dirtier and glass hardly gets any scratches.
But yea, after countless drops on concrete floor or what have you plus couple of 5ft+ throws on it gave it good number of dings which could have been saved by the case.

look at the incase slider and a protective screen...that case holds the phone really well and covers all parts of it

That's the one I'm using - the grey finish is pretty close to Space Grey metallic too . . . .

Speck candy shell is the case to get. Clean, strong and unobtrusive.

I have the griffin leather case from the AT&T store and an At&t anti-glare screen protector. Good setup. I like the case because it provides some grip while you're holding the phone but since it isn't rubbery it doesn't get stuck in your pocket.

i use to use the incase - but don't anymore bc it scratches the bezel as well as the back of the phone when dust gets stuck in there.

i am now using a case from switcheasy.com - the rebel serpent. all is good with it so far.

SGP makes great, inexpensive cases. Not only that, but they ship fast. The two times I have ordered from them, I received my case in two days. Cali to Fla.

IMO get a case if you're thinking of reselling it and keeping it from scratching. Cases sucks they kill my signal... I like to keep mine naked. I've dropped mine few times and it's still good... no dings or what not. My Brother in law accidentally dropped it in a bowl of soup. And it still works.
