E39 m5 alarm issue

Hi, I have 2001 bmw e39 m5 with the alarm issue. It goes on seconds as soon as i lock the car. It started suddenly one night out from nothing. How to diagnost the issue or turn it off? I saw references to hood sensor but the one that i uave is work properly. May that be the issue with the mirror sensor? Also, the car stays that the trunk lead is open sometimes while I’m driving. May that be an issue and how to fix that? In general, if i disconnect the syren will that drain the battery if the alarm technically will be still on?

I have a similar issue with my 2003 540i. Did you ever resolve the issue on your car? I suspect the rechargeable alarm batteries need to be replaced, but I would like to verify the cause before I start replacing parts.
