Working from home? Post your battle station!
So based on the other thread a lot of us are working from home because of COVID-19. Post where you're working!
When I'm not on the road I work from home, so I have a dedicated machine with a big ol' screen. Also doubles as my Plex server so I have my own personal Netflix for when I'm on the road with my laptop/iPad. The Herman Miller Aeron chair is super comfy (check out local office liquidators if you want one for cheap!) and I made the adjustable table myself. Easily the best part is the glass Quartet whiteboard, which is perfect for remote meetings using the iMac's crappy webcam and is super easy to erase every time. Yes, I need actual blinds.

Can’t post my actual office area because I have classified information near there, but I do have this auxiliary workstation for when I have my lunch break.

Depending on what work you're in and what you're into, it could be a bit of both.

My station. Got a direct line to corporate extensions, webex and a vpn back to my datacenter. Citrix as failback method. I work in IT and head up an infrastructure team

used to years ago, no real time now to be serious. just casual gamer and working from home.
lighting is phillips hue linked with desktop colours. so changes depending on the scene. ryzen 1800x, 16gb ram @ 3400mhz, gtx1070 so nothing super up to date! |

My DW was sent home from her critical job on Friday to WFH, with multiple large monitors that fill our entire desk...the one that *I* was using to WFH up until then. I still haven't figured out where I'm going to work from tomorrow, but it will probably be worse than a coffee table in terms of ergonomics.....

Damn you run this from your house? Why? Who pays or subsidizes your power bill?
I see a couple of dell PowerEdge nodes I'm guessing VMware ESXi or hyper v? Also, see a NetApp in there as well. And a dell console terminal? Can't tell what in the bottom looks like cisco UCS or an old Mac server..?

The power bill isn't too bad. Over the winter I average about $160 to 170 a month in electric bills. I don't have it all running all the time. I'm fortunate I have managed/switched PDUs which allow me to remotely power up and down equipment as needed. I am running a VMware vSphere 6.5 cluster. I have plans on building out a Hyper-V environment since I've never done it before. As to the equipment in the picture from the top down: Cisco MDS9148S Cisco Nexus 5010 Dell Networking S4810 Dell PowerConnect 8024 Dell Networking S4048 Dell Networking S6100 Dell PowerVault MD3800i Dell Compellent SC4020 Dell PowerEdge C6100 NetApp FAS3020 Vertiv UMG Dell PowerEdge R730 Dell PowerEdge FX2 Dell DL4300 (wiped it to be my media agent for my Commvault backup system) Cisco FI 6332-16UP Cisco UCS C240 Cisco UCS C240 And other miscellaneous stuff such as a Mellanox IB switch, Dell tape drive, etc. I also have a 24U wall rack with a bunch of other networking gear. |

I drive jets (until I get furloughed or we go out of business), so no home office for me.
My wife is a healthcare liaison/exec-- she's been working in her home office since this started and they shut down her office building, but since the weather was nice today, she's upgraded..... |

Not really my home office but it's easier to teach online from my actual office! Campus is empty so it's actually better social distancing. Also our internet connection at home is not great with sporadic dropouts so better to use the campus T1 connection...
