Not sure you can do this.

The ticket is tied to a name and they check your driver's license.
You can call them and have the name changed I'm sure. As long as it's paid for they don't really care.

Looking to trade 1/2 Track Day W 6/13 PM Homestead-Miami for other day/track

In a bind - we booked the M Track Day driving event at Homestead-Miami for a half day on afternoon of Wednesday June 13th, and I've have now been called away to a work meeting in another city on the same day.

I'm looking to trade our two sessions for two sessions at (1) Homestead on the 12th, 15th or 16th or (2) any other of the tracks. (Last fall, I missed my Spartanburg delivery for a work crisis, so I really don't want to miss this, too.) BMW event runners say all sessions nationally are filled. Tried for Waitlist, but no confirmation email or screen, so am doubtful that I'm really on it. Sessions are non-refundable, too!

If you or anyone you know signed up anywhere and did not like the time slot you got or has flexibility, I would appreciate the lead. Grateful for other suggestions on how to solve/who to beg. Many thanks.

Went to Homestead today for one of the first M Track Days....I did the half day which was perfect. Let me say I really enjoyed the event and it was well worth the 250.00!!! I was impressed with how well organized the event was and the professionalism of the instructors/staff.

Getting behind the wheel of all the different vehicles was great. The M5 is a 600HP monster!

Much to my surprise the spread of food was outstanding! I was starving by the end of the session and crushed the buffet! But much to my disappointment I am not going to be the next “Ultimate Driver”. Maybe one of you guys or gals will. All in all it was a great day and experience. I will definitely attend again, maybe even the full day.

Good luck everyone, and drive it like you stole it!!!!

No prob! And a few ppl asked about the M2C. But no definitive answer was given if it will make an appearance for any of the track days. You only get to drive the M2 on the AutoCross course for the Ultimate Driver. They give you 2 timed runs. It’s short and fast! My best was 17:09 Ehhhh. Fastest of the day was 16:06. They post/rank all the days times and Overall days rankings at dinner. You will see exactly how you stack up!

I'll be at Thermal in Nov, getting to drive the M5 will be a blast! Question for you since I've only done the M School: it's 2 drivers per car right? Were any cars more than 2? Did you feel like you got enough seat time?

If you have someone you want to be paired with they will put you in the car together for all driving. Both will get equal turns at each area. I noticed some solo ppl. But that did not mean you got more seat time. Only the hot laps at the end of the day with instructors did they put up too 4 ppl in the M3 sedans.

Regarding the M5 you only get to drive it for the drag race event. But it’s still fun! You will drive the M3 sedan and M4 on the track.

Side note....Most of the instructors did some form of drifting on the hot lap, so is worth doing. Also....most prob know this but first timers, do all driving with AC OFF and windows down! More power! Especially on the lead follow laps.

As for overall seat time I think it’s good for what you pay. I did half day, so I feel I got my 250 worth. But lets be honest we can never get enough wheel time...lol. Hope that helped.

Well, the only swag I got was one of those Metal drink bottles that keeps stuff cold for days. It was actually nice, Black and stainless steel and said BMW on it. It fits in my e91 cup holder. But no swag bag. Maybe the full day gets an actual bag of goodies. Can anyone confirm?

Wasn't it a hat, bottle, lunch sack, and a few other small things?

Black swell insulated water bottle was only swag this year. One of the staff said that was all BMW gave them for the event this year. Don't know if it will be different at any another events.

I don't know about everyone else but I found the $250 half day totally worth the money. I will be doing it again next year if it is offered.

The only other thing offered, you could only get it the day of the event, was a M driving school 20% discount.

Do you know whether that can be combined with the CCA discount (like the holiday discount can)?

Did they at least send the thank you with the lapel pin? Comes a few weeks after the event.
