Weird Vibration In Drive (when letting off brake)?

When I let off the brake in reverse or drive the car moves forward and makes a weird vibration pulse similar to what a manual transmission car makes when you let off the clutch and it's almost stalling. Why is this? Also my steering seems much stiffer since I lowered the car the extra .5 of an inch it doesn't seem as smooth as before.

When switching your car to a bigger or heavier wheel, your steering feel will almost always suffer. I had the same thing happen when I put 18's on my e46 325i. The vibration your feeling when going from reverse to drive is most likely through the drive train or the transfer case. I would look to check fluids and possibly get them changed but im almost positive that a little bit of vibration is completely normal.

It feels like that when park to drive also. Plus I just changed all the fluids a second Time. Changed transfer case fluid at 64k and 69k same with diffs and the trans. Did 2 trans fluid changes with d6. Drained 5 quarts then drove 100 miles and then did a pan drop with filter change and another 5 quarts. Then just did a 5 quart drain and fill with D4 and I like it better.

Does your rpm indicator pulse up and down while you maintaining speed at approx 1700-2000rpm?

No only makes vibration at start when letting off brake.

I am having this exact issue with my 2009 xdrive. Did you ever find out what it was/solution?
