Thanks I’d consider an EV for an about town commuter for my wife but for a performance car I’d have to say it’s “probably” not going to happen.

I’m retiring in a few years and the current infrastructure won’t support all the long road trips to various places (and tracks) I’m planning across Canada and the US. I’ve built and raced cars since ‘94 and just can’t wrap my head around an all electric performance car. The mechanical noises, exhaust sounds, smells, are just key to the experience.

Based on the new M5 hybrids weight, just saying it will continue to have a combustion engine doesn't mean I have any interest in it. Never imagined an ICE sports sedan could make the Model S the lightweight choice.

If it was a performance hybrid, it did 0 to 60 in 2 seconds and you could fire up the fire breathing dragon as soon as she pulled out of the city that did not want you driving within ii because of tailpipe admissions being a concern you’d probably love it so never say never it doesn’t have to be a full electric car. Think McLaren P1… ❕
