RBR actually don't look too bad here.

The sprint itself will tell us how the main race will go.

But I expect Max to be at least P2-P3 in qualification. He will definitely qualify in the top 10 for the main race with the penalty.

Ferrari race pace was quite decent as well.

But as everyone knows, high chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday, and that's the great equalizer.

Both Max and Lewis and probably Alonso are great in the rain.

Really there was no re-thinking, Marko had already said the Mexico mechanical PU was on borrowed time and at least the ancillaries are in ok form, the only thing is that battery is a worry in delivering the required boost when needed.

the rules are clear, if you are ahead at the apex, you have the corner.
the second rule is, if there seems to be a grey area, then the defending driver seems to get priority.

in Austin, Max nose was ahead at the apex, and he was defending, Lando got penalty

in Mexico, Lando nose was ahead at the apex, he got the corner.

the only thing that was unclear was why max got 2 penalties instead of one.

ONE THING IS CLEAR. max is going to win the WDC (even if it means crashing and taking Lando out Senna/Schumacher style), and everyone's biggest question is will Lando get within 7 points of Max, which were the number of points he gifted Oscar

I mean that Oscar dude was in front of Max after Max pitted last race and instead of slowing Max down he pitted to let Max through

5P penalty is nothing for a Honda engine. Liam Lawson went from 19th to 9th (? i think) with a new Honda engine.

nah it's not the passport, it's his driving style. put Schumacher, Senna, and you get the picture. these guys will force you to either let them through or crash. (also helps if you have more points because crashing means the points gap is maintained).

i mean, that's racing isn't it? it's not driving 2 lanes to the supermarket and taking turns to merge. i was watching Nascar the other day and people physically push other cars off the track! usually they push someone off that pushed them off i the last race to get back at them it seems.

Only difference in NASCAR is they can have a fist fight after a collision/disagreement without snowflake FIA getting involved who lick their lips in what fines they are going to impose to be added to their bank a/c coffers.

MAX was P15 in the FP. And Checo P18 (!)
