Previous models w/CFRP Roofs had OEM Connection Points/Bolts.
Thule Roof Luggage Rack on previous models with Carbon Fiber Roof that had OEM Connection Points/Bolts.
So YES it can be done, but BMW M has neglected this in the past five years and that needs to changed ASAP.
