I agree this Lotus will likely depreciate faster than the Porsche and will probably be less reliable as well, but your other 2 points are debatable:
1) The supercharged Camry engine should be much cheaper to fix and maintain than the Porsche's flat 6, and I personally like its supercharger's whine.
2) Also even the current Lotus Evora GT (which Emira will replace) has a manual gearbox which is just as crisp-shifting as the best ones that Porsche offers.
So I think the new Lotus will be quite competitive with the Cayman 4.0, assuming it is similarly priced.
