Same with the STI. Debuted in North America in 2004 with 300 hp and a brand new 2021 STI sports 310 hp from the exact same engine and transmission. That formula of stagnation led Nissan to the brink of bankruptcy yet Subaru's street cred keeps growing. It's actually one of the more unexplainable phenomenon's in the automotive world.
