Rather disappointing that a modern 2.0 petrol turbo only makes 141kW and still has this horrible lag.
Note this is the non-US model with 7 speed DSG gearbox..

Its a common complaint on the VW Tiguan forum as they have the 7 speed DSG and it also applies to my Tiguan hopefully my new X1 will not do the same.
Better in Sport mode but heavier on mpg.
