I took my wife out to one of our favorite restaurants for lunch a few days ago. There was a middle-aged couple sitting nearby. Both were diddling with their not-so-smartphones the entire time they were there, never once speaking to each other or looking out the windows to enjoy the beautiful ocean coastline.
Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
