Recall Notice – Water Drainage Grommet
I am not sure if Regional Forums are picked up by everyone, so I am re-posting just in case Canadians were the only ones aware of this issue. So far, the only ones who commented on the original post were a few Canadians and it doesn’t appear that very many people read the original post. In re-posting this item, I am making the assumption that a recall notice such as this would not just be limited to Canada.
A few days ago there was a post on the Canadian forum for 3 & 4 series regarding a recall notice for “service code 64 80 14”. The recall is to remove the water drainage grommet which is located at the bottom of the right hand "units compartment" inside the engine compartment.
When I saw the post, I checked on "My BMW" and sure enough I had the same service code noted for my 2014 435i xDrive. I have since made an appointment to have the work done.
My apologies if I am duplicating something you are all aware of!
