I went with a 2017 JK over the new JL although I could have waited. I was hoping the tried and true model would provide better reliability and I actually enjoy the JK simplicity. I haven't driven a JL yet, but they seem nice by all accounts. I am not sure I could deal with any Wrangler as an only car however, or pay what they are asking for a loaded JL.
