Make it your job.
Do every home work assignment,
before going to class, and pay attention while in class (take detailed notes helps the time pass), and re-write them after class, forming an outline. The professors for the most part will test you on the in-class information.
This won't take more than a few hours a day, which will leave you plenty of time to do whatever you want to do. If you blow off school, you will shoot yourself in the foot if you decide down the line to transfer.
