I was thinking the same thing.

It's a shame that F1 can't be competitive for these small teams. With the way the payout is for the points, the small teams get much less than the big teams, hence the big teams always get more since they have a huge budget to start with.

If the FIA gave an equal share of the profits from the races and TV coverage, then the smaller teams would be much better off and the sport could attract more teams. Right now, there aren't enough cars on the track.

It seems as though they should have two classes racing at the same time. One for the big teams and one for the small teams. A race within a race like endurance racing does.
