I'm betting the Cayennes and Macans are what keep Porsche alive. For me it was a big draw. I tend to change cars a lot and we wanted an SUV and I have never owned a Porsche. So like you said it was a good way to test the waters.

That's what I said! My 6.7 liter diesel truck is typically like $120. To be fair it also depends how hard it is to change. I know some cars out there you need to take half the thing apart to get to the oil filter or drain etc. I don't think that is the case here, but who knows, I haven't bothered to look it up. $300 is just on the edge of my laziness overpowering my cheapness.
