Clearly used for my pocketbook. Say under $30-35k

Would rather be in something modern as opposed to old school sick.

Newest Cayman/Boxter I can find?

Next step older 911?

Would definitely be a weekend/road trip car.

Would definitely prefer to start with a bone stock, unadulterated vehicle... not counting a factory wheel upgrade or the likes.

Been looking for a while but really have no idea what direction to go in and have a feeling its pretty easy to get ripped off or make a bad purchase in the world of Porsche?
I would look at the 981 generation cayman and see if you can find a 2014 S in your price-range (admittedly I think most of the Cayman S are trading low/mid 40s but could be something you pull off). This way you have the six cylinder in all its glory, as well as some healthy depreciation already priced in.

If you decide to go a bit older, the 996 911 is trading pretty low right now. I'm not the biggest fan of the frog-eye aesthetic but they're undoubtably one of the best deals out there.
