I'm glad I found this thread, you guys just saved me a lot of money. Recently did a muffler delete on a 530e, and cold start is basically WW2. I was starting to look into modifying a MPE, as there is no official MPE for the hybrid model. I also get some slight drone, mostly on lower gears and high RPMs. No drone during highway cruising though. I guess I'll just stick with my current setup, as I do enjoy the sound during idle and revs.
