I'm glad you asked. AMG/RS has similar, if not better engine performance. But if I just cared about straight line speed, then I would simply get a corvette, camaro, or GT350.
As for chassis engineering it's hard to argue against what porsche, alfa, and GM have done as of late. As I mentioned in my previous post, the steering feel on BMWs have been embarrassing. EPS can only be blamed so much. My s2000 had significantly better feel and rolled off the assembly line 14 years ago. Shockingly (pun somewhat intended), my current i3 has better steering feel than my 2er.
