It really is mindblowing to realize that such an educated and developed country was led to total destruction by one complete lunatic. How on earth did the very capable military command witness H interfere with strategy and tactics, getting it wrong all the time (Dunkirk, Battle of Britain, Russia etc...) yet still not intervene?
