1. As mentioned, you don't need a snap in adapter for anything he showed. You do need to connect the phone to your car (your iPhone cable works great for this
)
2. It used to read and receive texts - that went away with IOS7

4. Honestly, if he bought the BMW for the ability to read texts well, I guess I have no comment here other than "interesting criteria"
