JB4 on 35i - Impressions
Last week installed te JB4. Here the overall impressions.
NOTE: my 2012 35i is bone stock except for the sec cats that have been removed.
1) Very easy installation
2) Nice to change maps on the fly by steering wheels controls
3) Driving impression:
MAP 1 on 97 chilean gas (93 US): noticeable improvement in all-range torque and power. Car is faster, and push harder especially on the highway in 4º, 5º, 6º gear.
In my opinion this is the best of the JB4: torque and power on the highway.
On the contrary, if you like "short drags" at the traffic lights (1º-2º...), the difference from stock is not so great.... in practice. Traction issues prevent a real performance improvement.
4) Sound: no apreciable changes
5) Fuel economy: worse for the moment (but probably i pushed harder than normal in the last days).
Summarizing: a good modification @ 479$ for 35i models.
Probably useless for 35is.
