Yeah the bars might meet spec as far as diameter, thickness, and weld type, but a lot of racing regs require welded in vs bolt in, and depending on the series they require full overhead and door bars also. But the mounting point is where I've seen the most people get kick back from tech. But, if you're not looking to race, then no harm done.

I will say though, if you run a harness be sure to mount it properly and at the proper shoulder strap angle. They are technically not legal for street use, but I've never known anyone to take heat for it. I find them uncomfortable and a pain for the street tho.
I won't be running a harness. OEM seatbelt only.
There's street cars that have OEM roll bars. The M4 GTS?
