I agree that you cannot buy a kit that does everything. I started with one 4 drawer tool box with a handle. Then came the 4 drawer roller cabinet. Then a middle box. Then a second roller cabinet, then a middle and top box for it. Now I have three 42 inch roller cabinets and a lift.
You don't need the best and fanciest tools unless you are a professional mechanic. They are nice to have, but expensive. HF, Craftsman, Lowes Kobalt are all OK. One problem with the all in one socket kits is they have a lot of SAE sockets you probably will not use on your car because it has metric nuts and bolts.
