I sometimes mispronounce words in front of other people, to see if they will mirror my pronunciation. Hysterically, they do it more often than not. Smart people look at me like I'm an idiot. I still can't tell them what I'm doing, because they will then be insulted. Oh, but the others....it's those individuals that make me laugh. Even better, is when their newfound word gets used in a public setting, say...such as a meeting; then the new pronunciation spreads like wildfire. More times than not, the evil genius inside my head is grinning devilishly whilst writhing my hands.
