Lots of praise/recommendations for the Macan, and it's well deserved. But I've had Macans (Turbo, GTS) since the model's introduction, and even the best jack of all trades is still the master of none. It's not a dedicated sports car, not even close. But i love it because when we need to drive a bigger car the drop-off in driving experience is not as bad. The Toyota/Ford/GM SUV's and trucks are almost undriveable for me.
But I'm lucky enough to not be constrained to a single car so i have Macan + sports cars. If you don't have those constraints then i highly recommend 2+ cars. If you can only have one car there are some good recommendations in this thread
